If you aren't sure which club you will play for, here are a few steps you can take to make sure a prosperous and enjoyable club season.
In selecting an instructor, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the following.
1. Ask friends who've played for your coach about him/her. Be sure to enquire about the factors that are crucial that you you such as capability to teach, whether or not they play exactly the best girls or they play everybody, and most importantly, if your friend wish to be coached again by that person.
2. In the event you curently have a perception of which club coaches which you might consider playing for next season, visit one of their matches and watching the coach on the sideline. Does he/she coach contain the coaching style that you seek for the reason that would help you?
3. Search online for how teams in the past have inked under that coach. Did they consistently place near the top of the regional volleyball rankings? Or even in the center, as well as at the end? Is a good factor for you?
Some additional questions to ask prior to you buying a coach:
* Is the coach too demanding, or too laid-back?
* Did the coach play in the same position when you (ex. setter, libero)?
* How many years have they coached?
* Does the coach play everyone or can they play to win?
* Where did the coach play for top school/college?
If you're fortunate enough to be offered an area on several club team, here are a few questions you should ask yourself:
1. That are the gamers? Could they be girls you'll get in addition to?
2. The number of players is going to be on the team? This can affect playing time.
3. The number of players will be around the team that play your position/s?
The exact same thing will affect playing time.
Some final advice prior to you buying a group:
1. Attend players & Parents introduction meeting. It's the best place to acquire answers for any questions you could have and to understand the demands of the club. On the meeting, you will learn the expectations (for instance: you play basketball or softball, plus some of these practices conflict together with your club practices. Will this be a problem? Or, what if you've got homework or group projects in school; will you be permitted to miss practice?)
2. Are you able to afford a club team? Just how much does it cost? Which are the volleyball club fees? Which are the monthly payments? It is possible to discount if you pay completely? What extra costs (travel, overnight lodging, food, etc.) by visiting away-tournaments?
3. If you are religious, will the club have practices or tournaments in your religious days? In that case, are you able to compromise?
With this, I'm able to only wish the finest of luck inside your club season!
Please remember: effort beats talent when talent fails to strive.
